  NURSEY

MY NAME IS IMPORTANT

ART ACTIVITIES

One of the most enjoyable activities for Nursery children is the Art lesson. Children like to express themselves using different supplies and techniques. They demonstrate their talent  and creativity through painting, modeling,  collage and free drawings.

  PRE KINDER

TRAVELLING BOOK

The children of Pre Kinder this term for their unit of inquiry “Tell me a story” did just that. Each class created its own story using a travelling book.  Everyday a student would take home the travelling book and add a page to the story.  The children were very creative and used their imagination to create these wonderful stories. Pre Kinder Devon wrote about a lost zoo in the Jungle. Pre Kinder Stuart wrote about a little girl who wanted a dog and Pre Kinder Tudor wrote about a frog that turned into a princess.  Each page was unique and illustrated by the student.

INDEPENDENCE DAY AT SCHOOL

Early Years students celebrated Peru’s Independence Day at school. They showed creativity in their work displayed on the boards outside the classrooms. They made Peruvian flags and wore their Peruvian rosette with pride.  They enjoyed eating different foods from our 3 regions. They marched with enthusiasm in the parade and demonstrated their patriotism singing our National Anthem with energy and respect.

  KINDERGARTEN

WHAT’S THE WEATHER LIKE TODAY?

The Unit of Inquiry “What’s the weather like today?” allowed us to make interesting experiments with the children. They researched vital information about the weather and different habitats. They also learned to value the many natural regions we found in our country and they became interested in the diversity of Peru. The children reflected on the importance of every living thing and changes in the climate. They shared the information and were very motivated to inquire about the weather and its natural elements.

CARING FOR PLANTS

One of the units of inquiry that Kindergarten children worked on this term was Caring For Plants.   The students learned the importance of taking care of plants and why people need them.  They visited Biotaller to see the variety and utility of plants we have in our planet.  They also experimented with the different parts of the plants in order to inquire about the role of each one.  They enjoyed the unit very much.

FATHERS' DAY Go to Fathers' Day Activities

Pre kindergarten children enjoyed a beautiful moment with their dads during a celebration carried out on Friday 19th in the classrooms.  Daddies showed their artistic abilities and showed us that they have a lot of energy and rhythm as they played with their children , sharing smiles with them. They went back to work with a handful of gifts, surprises, cards and a lot of love.
