MUSIC

In the Colegio Peruano Britanico music program students are actively engaged in a variety of musical experiences designed to encourage a love and appreciation of music. Through movement, singing, percussion instruments, recorders and listening activities students discover that the world of music is a diverse and wonderful place. Throughout the program, students gain knowledge and skills that enable them to perform, create and share music with others. Students are encouraged to look at music as both a form of play and a way of learning about the world around them. Through the music program students develop their creativity, communication and group skills and the attributes of the IB learner profile.

El Colegio Peruano Británico tuvo la iniciativa de promover y desarrollar las cualidades musicales de sus alumnos a través de sus diversas actividades, siendo la más importante de ellas la creación del Coro del Colegio (1995) bajo la dirección de la prestigiosa maestra de coro, Magister en Canto y Dirección Coral Elena Ananitcheva (Rusia)

Los coros del Colegio Peruano Británico, durante 13 años consecutivos han obtenido diplomas por su destacada participación en los concursos de música organizados por la Asociación Cultural Internacional “Nueva Acrópolis y el Conservatorio Nacional de Música”
