...We have kept families well informed about the necessary steps needed at the first sign of illness, including keeping children at home under close medical supervision when they have symptoms. Together our community has worked very well to reduce the impact of this threat to teaching and learning in our school, with minimal disruption to classes and learning programs. Only at the end of term did we have to close the school under Ministry of Health regulation – which has affected every school in Peru.

Following our visit from the International Baccalaureate Organisation in late April, we have now been granted full authorization to teach the Primary Years Programme (PYP) in the Early Years and Primary sections of our school. A wonderful achievement that confirms our belief in the best education for our students.

We aim to develop our students to be knowledgeable, open minded and inquiring life long learners. This world wide recognized programme which our teachers have been trained in and implementing over the past three years places our school in an elite group of IB World Schools and adds to the IB Diploma we offer our Secondary students in the final two years of their schooling. A wonderful achievement that confirms our commitment to continuous improvement in teaching and learning at Colegio Peruano Británico.
