  • When was Colegio Peruano Británico founded?
    Colegio Peruano Británico is a private institution inspired by the values and principles of British education. It was founded in 1963 by the British educator and headmistress Mrs. Alwyn Robinson, MBE, with the aim of providing high quality education in Peru, that met the demands of social and cultural development in the country and incorporated the latest advances in science and technology. 

    In 2023, we’ll celebrate 60 years since our founding – and we’re proud to be considered a leading institution of educational excellence in Peru.
  • What activities can my child take part in after school?
    Our after-school extracurricular activities are organised into three groups, all of which are free of charge and open to all our students from Kindergarten to IB Year Two:

    - team and individual sports
    - creative and performing arts
    - literacy and learning support

  • What curriculum does Colegio Peruano Británico follow?
    At Colegio Peruano Británico, our programmes of study are based on the philosophy of the IB curriculum. They are concept-driven and inquiry-based and systematically develop self-management, research, communication, thinking, and social skills.

    In the final two years of secondary school, Years 10 and 11, students follow the IB Diploma Programme, a rigorous pre-university programme. Our Diploma graduates enter the best universities in Peru and abroad.

    Our curriculum is delivered in English and Spanish.
  • What foreign languages do you teach?
    We offer a full immersion English programme in Early Years. In Primary and Secondary school, the curriculum is delivered in both English and Spanish to promote bilingualism. By the time our students graduate, they are fluent in both languages.

    Additionally, we teach French with native speaker teachers from the 3rd Grade of Primary School until Form Three of Secondary School.
  • Which classes are taught in English?
    Our students learn various courses in English, such as social studies, science, math, religions, ICT, art, business, history, global citizenship, and environmental science.
  • Does Colegio Peruano Británico offer transportation services?
    We do not offer our own transportation services – however, we do have recommended service providers, approved by our school.
  • Does Colegio Peruano Británico offer exchange programmes or study trips?
    Our Secondary School students travel nationally to several exciting destinations such as Ica-Paracas, Trujillo-Chiclayo, Arequipa, San Ramon (Oxapampa), Tambopata, and Cusco to expand their experiences beyond the classroom.

    In addition, our students participate in Nord Anglia Education’s global exchange programs such as ‘Study Abroad’, where they can study for a semester or an academic year in one NAE’s Boarding Schools. They can also participate in NAE’s Summer Camps programme or compete in the international sports competition, Global Games.
